Welding competition brings new features in 2026

The welding competition, traditionally organized as part of the International Industry Fair, will introduce several new features in 2026. This year, the competition will take place over two days.

The event, scheduled for April 14 and 15, 2026, will dedicate the first day exclusively to students, while the second day will host the traditional International and 10th National Welding Competition.

STUDENT COMPETITION

This year brings the most significant updates for students. Participants will have the opportunity to compete individually or as part of a team.

Individual competition

The individual competition will consist of two parts: 

  1. Theoretical part (general knowledge of welding)
  2. Practical part 
  • MAG welding (135)
  • TIG welding (141)
  • REO welding (111). 

Each individual competitor may participate in only one welding process

Team competition

Each team consists of:

  • one MAG welder (135)
  • one TIG welder (141)
  • one REO welder (111) 

During the team competition, participants will weld a workpiece shown in the provided drawing. At the end, a pressure test will be performed.

All welders who feel confident in their skills are welcome to apply and represent themselves and their school.

Each welder may compete in only one process!

All welders who feel sufficiently capable of adequately representing themselves and their company may register for the competition.
